2. Information Collected

We collect the information necessary to provide the service, including:

• your first and last name, and date of birth;
• your contact details (email, phone);
• your residential address;
• lease-related information (rent amount, unit address, landlord contact details);
• your rent payment proofs;
• your identity documents;
• billing information relevant to the administration of your subscription;
• information necessary to process your support requests;
• your Social Insurance Number (SIN), on a voluntary basis, when you choose to provide it.

The SIN is not required to use LocaCredit. When you choose to provide it, it is processed securely and is not displayed in plain text in the application.

3. Purposes of Collection

Information is collected for the following purposes:

• providing and managing the LocaCredit service;
• managing your user file;
• verifying the information and documents submitted;
• processing rent payment proofs;
• administering your subscription;
• providing customer support;
• ensuring the security of the platform;
• meeting applicable obligations;
• processing requests regarding your personal information.

4. Rent Payment Reporting

Eligible rent payments may be verified and, when the applicable conditions are met, reported as part of the service offered by LocaCredit. The actual transmission of a declaration is confirmed only when it has been marked as transmitted in the platform. The approval status of a declaration or the enrollment status in the reporting program does not constitute proof of transmission.

LocaCredit does not guarantee a credit score increase. Credit scores depend on several factors, and no specific result can be guaranteed.

5. Retention and Destruction

Your information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet applicable obligations. It is then securely destroyed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

6. Access and Correction

You may access your personal information and request corrections. You may submit a request for access, rectification, account closure, or data deletion from the Privacy Center in your user space, or by writing to the Privacy Officer at alain@groupescf.ca.

Requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe. No automatic deletion is performed; each request is reviewed by our team.

7. Privacy and Security

Your documents are stored in a private space and access is controlled. Technical and organizational measures adapted to the Quebec context are in place to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Automated Functions and Artificial Intelligence

LocaCredit uses certain automated assistance, pre-validation, and document analysis functions. These functions support verification and do not by themselves result in final legal, credit, or administrative decisions. Any final decision is made with human validation.

9. Service Providers

LocaCredit uses technology service providers and external service providers to operate its platform, including for payment processing, hosting, and data security.

These providers process personal information in connection with the services they provide, in accordance with applicable agreements and legal requirements for the protection of personal information.

10. No Sale of Information

Your information is not sold to advertisers or third parties for commercial purposes.
